The Perfect Golf Warm-up for Aging Adults

We know golf is important to you and you want to feel pain free whether you play everyday or once a week! But we know, the first couple of holes are not always “on par” with how you want to feel and how you want perform!

Never start your round of golf stiff again with these 4 Simple Warm-up Exercises:

Allocate 10-15mins before you tee off to get your body warm and ready! This warm-up will get your body warm and your mind focused to play great golf and have fun while doing it!

Part 1: Warm-up your BACK

Perform 3 sets of each exercise. Rotate through each exercise in order once, than a second and finally a third time. Once you have completed 3 sets than move onto your hip warm-up.

  • Torso Twists

    • 5 reps each side

  • Bent-over Twists

    • 5 reps each side

  • Round Back Deadlifts

    • 5 reps


Part 2: Stretch out your HIPS

Perform 3 sets of each exercise. Rotate through each exercise in order once, than a second and finally a third time. Once you have completed 3 sets than move onto your shoulder warm-up.

  • Old-Man Squats

    • 5 reps

  • Leg Swings + Leg Kicks

    • 5 reps each side

  • Spiderman Lunges

    • 5 reps each side

Part 3: Loosen up your SHOULDERS

Perform 3 sets of each exercise. Rotate through each exercise in order once, than a second and finally a third time. Once you have completed 3 sets than move onto your wrist & elbow warm-up.

  • Arm Circles

    • 5 reps each

  • Band Dislocates

    • 5 reps each

  • Band Pull-Aparts

    • 10 reps

Part 4: Lubricate – ELBOWS & WRISTS

Perform 3 sets of each exercise. Rotate through each exercise in order once, than a second and finally a third time. Once you have completed 3 sets than take a few swings & see how you feel.

  • Elbow Circles

    • 10 reps each direction

  • Wrist Circles

    • 10 reps each direction

  • Golf Club Twist

    • 10 reps each arm

Part 5: Let’s Play! You’re warm, you’re ready, have fun!

Take confidence into your first swing of the day. Your body is warm and ready to perform. Enjoy the stunning results of being physically and mentally ready to play.
