After three years of hard work and consistency it is about time that Mr. Consistency – Alfred Habash gets some credit!
It was day one of LP when his co-worker and friend Kendra encouraged/forced Alf to join LP’s first ever 21 Day Challenge. Since that day Alf has never looked back. Alf had been a Goodlife guy in his day and new a lot about bench and biceps but was looking for a little something extra to push his fitness and health to the next level.
Alf is a young professional in his early 30’s who works from dawn to dusk, he was caught in a bit of a rut with a less than consistent fitness routine, and a poor diet. Three years ago he stepped out of his comfort zone and made a choice that has changed his view about health, fitness, and nutrition.
Alf did not join LP for a quick fix or a 21 Day weight loss challenge – he joined LP to make a long-term lifestyle change and that is exactly what he did.
Alf is a staple of the 7am Crew. Over the past 3 years Alf has overcome many challenges and has improved is fitness from head-to-toe. Alf has improved his full body strength with a:
Alf has also taken his conditioning to a whole new level. For a man who hates running and conditioning he is now pretty comfortable running:
The last piece of the puzzle that Alf knew he had to change was his eating habits. Alf used to go a full work day without eating, snacking, or even hydrating. At the end of the day Alf would binge eat and it was hurting his health and weight. This wasn’t an easy fix for Alf. It took A LOT of meetings with “The Boss” Michelle to convince him that eating more would help him be healthier and lose weight.
Alf still enjoys drinks and meals out with friends but his Monday – Friday has completely changed. He now snacks throughout the day, eats a healthy lunch, and doesn’t binge eat at night. This has helped his overall health and weight.
Like any young guy who has played years of sports and abused his body – Alf had his aches and pains when he started at LP. His knees would bug him everyday and even stopped his from doing full squats and lunges in the beginning. As he slowly built strength and muscle in his legs and core – the pain slowly went away. Alf can now squat, lunge, run, and jump without knee pain. For Alf, this is as important as any other factor in his health and fitness journey.
Alf – you are a true motivation for us as owners, coaches, and members. Your consistency is a constant reminder that health and fitness aren’t a quick fix and that they are a long-term lifestyle journey.
We look forward to working with you for years to come. Keep up the hard work and consistency.
Thank you for being a leader of the LP Family!
